Saint André de Figuière is above all a family business; where each talented member acts as a branch that supports the rest of the family tree.

At the head of this flourishing business is Alain Combard, a passionate and exacting man who leaves nothing to pure chance. Alain Combard was born in Salon de Provence and being native to the region, the love of wine runs in his veins.

After having started his career in winemaking in the region of Chablis together with his friend Michel Laroche, twenty-two years later, Alain Combard decided to return to his native soil that he loved so and take over the vineyard of Saint André de Figuière; a magnificent estate with huge potential. His well-established knowledge gained in Chablis proved useful immediately for making the Estate's first white wines and the well-structured red wines soon gained critical acclaim. As far as the rosé was concerned, rapidly he became convinced that Provence rosés deserved to be on a par with great white wines; a goal which he has achieved since taking over the vineyard.

Since the love of wine runs in his veins it is natural that his children should follow in his footsteps.
Alain Combard now has everything he could wish for. His son François, after completing his studies at a school of fine art, decided to join his father and devote himself to the vines becoming the artistic technician on the vineyard. He has accomplished wonders with his youthfulness, new ideas and modernity that he combines with his father's experience.
St André de Figuière also needed other talents. Next, his eldest daughter Delphine, decided to join them to manage with expertise the Estate's interests. Finally, Magali, the most out-going of them all and a specialist in public relations came to join them, she is without a doubt the best person when it comes to initiating people to the Estate's wines and exporting them to the four corners of the earth.
Gabrielle, their mother, has every reason to be proud as she knows the Estate is in good hands.

The family, being very open-minded, interested in all the aspects of the wine business and willing to accept a challenge were not satisfied with just making their own wines from the vineyard.
They now run at the same time a wine merchant business which is committed to producing high quality wines that are in perfect harmony with the spirit of the Estate.

In the wine business, perhaps more than elsewhere, success is not achieved merely by chance.
Hard work, tenacity and passion are the keys that have opened the doors to success for St André de Figuière.
However, if St André de Figuière has become one of the leading vineyards in Provence in only 15 years, it is also because the Estate has other assets :

• Saint André de Figuière knows how to make the right decisions at the right time
In taking advantage of the fact that more and more people drink rosé, whose delicate and aesthetic colour is especially appreciated by the younger generations, St André de Figuière has succeeded in promoting rosé wines as wines in their own right. Even if Provence Rosés are an institution in their own region, a way of life and the fruit of a unique culture and expertise, they have always lacked the recognition they deserve. St André de Figuière's rosés can be found in the most prestigious restaurants in the region and elsewhere.

• Saint André de Figuière knows how to reveal the full spectrum of its talent
Even if Provence is well-known for its rosé wines, St André de Figuière uses its well-established knowledge gained in Chablis to produce the most remarkable white wines. The red wines have also acquired worldwide recognition.

• Saint André de Figuière knows how to create a good reputation with an easily recognised brand
Having faith in the quality of its wines, St André de Figuière calls upon the expertise of wine professionals to recommend their products to wine lovers everywhere. More and more wine is distributed each year thanks to the excellent relationship the Estate has with owners of wine shops and restaurants. With such a vast network, bottles of wine with the angel on the label can be found on tables the world over.

• Saint André de Figuière knows how to make a quality range of wines
Whether it be the Estate wines, which are complex and reserved exclusively for a niche market or the wines made from grapes sourced from other vineyards, which are easy-drinking more accessible wines, St André de Figuière knows how to cater for its clientele by making quality wines with a broad price range; wines that restore to Provence its well-deserved nobility.
